Official says no reason to reduce West Pacific sardine catch

MOSCOW, Mar 18 (PRIME) – There is no reason for a lower West Pacific sardines catch in Russia, an official of the Federal Fisheries Agency told reporters on Thursday, when RBC reported that prices for some fish products can increase because fishermen have problems with West Pacific sardine catch.

"It will not affect organization of the winter-spring fishing season because if a producer refuses to participate, another will take its place," the official said.
